Dear citizens of Jefferson County:

In January 2000 you entrusted me with the Office of Sheriff and Treasurer. During these eight years I have worked diligently to build the Law and Tax offices into the best they can be given the financil guidelines I had to work within. It is my sincere hope that each of you feel and believe that you live within a reasonably safe and secure environment and that you are being afforded the best law enforcement and tax office services possible. Because our legislature has placed limits in the Office of Sheriff (two terms), my 37 years in law enforcement is ending. Many of our citizens have approached me and suggested that I continue my work within our County government. Your continued faith and belief in my abilities and experience is a real source of personal satisfaction and I have decided that I truly want to remain in public service. I have reviewed the areas that I could make a contribution in and am now running for the Office of Assessor.

You have my word that I will remain dedicated and commited to the needs of our community. Like any new office holder, I bring with me several positive thoughts on specific improvements (please review my "Campaign Promises" page) allowing for improved services to the public. I encourage you to vote in the primary election on Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 and in the general election on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008. I respectfully ask that you consider voting for me to be your Assessor. I welcome your thoughts and ideas.
